Designs can be created on a PC and printed using sublimation ink onto special transfer paper. The design is then wrapped around the mug and pressed onto the ceramic at temperatures normally up to 200ºC. The ink will permeate the special coating of the mug and transfer the image from the paper. For this type of transfer a specially shaped element is required to fully wrap around the mug.
